Tell Me About the Network Capabilities of
Aldelo For Restaurants?
Aldelo For Restaurants can either work in single station
mode or on a local area network with multiple stations. You will need
a license for each station running Aldelo For Restaurants software.
Aldelo For Restaurants software can also be ran in Terminal Services
mode if you have the proper server hardware and software. You will still
need a POS software license for each terminal services session.
The networked POS will allow you to create order on one station and edit/settle
on another. To increase operations efficiency, we usually recommend restaurants
to have at least 2 POS stations. One used as cashier and order entry,
while the other used as dedicated order entry terminal.

Does Aldelo For Restaurants Software Support

Aldelo For Restaurants has Multilingual Team Cooperation
concept built-in. Menu items and modifiers can have primary and secondary
language outputs. This allows the servers to view order screens and items
in one language, such as English, and send the kitchen receipt in an alternate
language such as Spanish.
How Do I Protect My Data From Hardware Failures?
We recommend the computer hosting database to be configured
with RAID 1 data mirroring support. RAID 1 is an industry standard data
mirroring protection at the hardware level. If one of the hard drive fails,
the remaining hard drive will continue operations uninterrupted.
Additionally, in order to protect the server computer from power spikes,
we also recommend connecting your database server to an Uninterrupted
Power Supply. "UPS" protects from lightning strikes, power
surges and other power troubles that might damage your server computer.
If you have multiple POS terminals on the local area network, then we
also recommend connecting the Network Switch into a "UPS"
as well for maximum protection. Database server computer and Network Switch
should be located out of reach if possible to prevent tempering or accidental
damages. Network cabling should either be secured onto the wall or hidden
inside the wall to prevent damages.
The above are only some general suggestions in securing your data at
the restaurant. Implementing these suggestions will significantly increase
availability and data security.
